Carolyn Patricia Burns

Carolyn Patricia Burns, 87, of the Holiday City/Carefree section of Berkeley Township, NJ passed away on Friday April 5, 2024, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. 

She was born in Jersey City, raised her family in Carteret and retired to Holiday City some 25 years ago.

Carolyn was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Township, 

She preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Caroline (O’Brien) Pacella, and by her brothers Thomas, Joseph and Michael Pacella. 

Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, James R. Burns; her three sons, James M. Burns, and his fiancé Jessica Marshall, of Jersey City, NJ, Thomas A. Burns, and his wife, Sharon, of Oceanport, NJ, and Michael P. Burns and his wife, LeeAnn, of Cooperstown, NY; one  daughter, Patricia Trebour, and her companion, John Mills, of Forked River, NJ; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jimmy, Regina, Nicholas, Ryan and Dillon; and one great grandchild on the way. Carolyn is also survived by an inseparable companion, her cousin, Helene McCarthy of Holiday City/Toms River, NJ.  Carolyn will be missed by all who knew her.

Burial will be private at the BG William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
