Condolence From: Danny Rongo
Condolence: There's something incredibly poetic when it rains during a funeral. As we leave the physical plane that we have on this journey, it's as if the Earth is crying along with you. It actually poured yesterday morning. One of the many images I'll hold forever is seeing Mom's grandsons acting as pallbearers getting totally drenched (in rain as well as tears). Mom's mass was so touching and I thank Father Steve at St. Maximilian for allowing me to speak. Another everlasting memory for my family came during the mass. Father Steve was preparing the Eucharist and the church was completely silent. That is until our beautiful 6 month old Isla (Mom's Great Granddaughter) delicately starting to sing! This was not a cry or a whimper. No this was this precious little soul channeling her great grandma's voice (as you may or may not know, Mom was an incredible vocalist) and filled the entire church with this loving sound that we will never, ever forget. Mom's mass was followed by a wonderful repasse luncheon where we shared many stories of love and laughter regarding our Dolores. But the two most memorable speeches came from my nephew Robert Bost and my niece and Goddaughter Anna Lee Scott. They both took time and painful task of writing down their most memorable traits and the traditions started by their Grandma. I cried tears of joy along with everyone else in the room. Bobby and Anna, Grandma loves you both so much.

And needless to say, and right on cue, as soon as the repasse ended we opened up the curtains and saw the sun shining bright!! Yes, Mom was smiling and shining down on us all!
I cannot begin to thank the literally 'hundreds' of people who took the time to pay respects and comfort my family in our time of need. All I can say is that it is a wonderful tribute and compliment to my Mom who touched so many people in so many ways. Everyone shared their thoughts and memories, but there was one common theme in everyone's memory...."LOVE". Mama Rongo, Aunt Dolores, Mrs. Rongo, Grandma, Dolores, Dee, Dee Michaels. No matter what you called her, every story shared the sentiment of how she made you feel loved, special and cared for. All with a magnificent smile felt around the world. I am blessed to have her for my 56 years. We are all blessed. And my Dad, wow! I have no words for this man who literally changed the definitions to the words 'devotion' and 'dedication'. His constant vigil for the past 18 months (yes, 18 months is how long my Mom has been in pain and struggled) over my Mom is legendary in my eyes. His love and faith never waivered as he sat by her side day in and day out. To say he is my hero is a complete understatement. His example of love is something me, Frankie, his grandsons and his great grandson will always have to look up to in the hopes that we can even come close one day.

So, for your love, for your support, for your kind words and most importantly for your loving memories of my Mom, I thank you and my family thanks you...

Condolence: You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Delores always made me smile. She was so full of life! She made me feel happy whenever I was in her company. She was a beautiful person who truly made the world a better place. Now she will be in heaven, a beautiful angel watching over all of us! Thank God we were blessed with her presence.

All of my love,

Condolence: I am at a complete loss. "Mama Rongo" will be missed more than any words can ever convey. Your smile and personality lit up a room. Your love of your family was beyond compare. You treated everyone with so much love and always made me feel like one of your children. I have so many fond memories of hanging out on your side of the house and eating your delicious food and laughing and talking. You have always been there to lend some advice or just listen if needed. We will all miss you but promise to carry your memory close in our hearts every day. Rest Easy and please watch over us.

Condolence: Dolores, we are missing you so very much and you will be forever in our hearts and minds; your great granddaughter Catherine expressed it perfectly by saying that she will see you in her dreams, and we hope to do so as well. Savasana was always your favorite part of the yoga practice; may you experience eternal savasana at God's side. We love you, Laura and Jud.

Condolence: Danny, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. Not sure you remember me, but we went to school in Brick together and I think we connected on Facebook for a while and I enjoyed the clips you uploaded, just you and your guitar. I just wanted to express my condolences; you know, we struggle with the question of why something like this happens, why people even have to die at all. God hates when things like this happen. He has a purpose that includes "death being no more" -Rev. 21:3, 4, as well as promising to “undo” death with the resurrection of our loved ones – John 5:28, 29. Currently the world is "lying in the power of the wicked one", but not for much longer. This hope has helped me get through some tough times and I hope it helps you now. Just wanted to reach out and let you know others who do not regularly appear in your life are suffering with you now. Hang in brother.
