Obituary for Carmela Kunze

Carmela M. Kunze, age 75 of Berkley Twp. passed away surrounded by her loving family March 3rd, 2018 in the Hospice Unit at Community Medical Center in Toms RIver after a brief illness. Born in New Brunswick, Carmela lived in North Brunswick for 60 years before moving to Berkeley Township 15 years ago. She was a 1960 Graduate of New Brunswick High School and retired as a Teacher's Assistant from Robin's Nest Nursery School.
Carmela loved to cook, clean and entertain. She made friends everywhere she went because of her bubbly outgoing personality. Above all she was devoted to her family. She will be lovingly remembered for her giving, unselfish, kind ways.
Carmela was active in various social activities in Holiday City of Berkeley such as Holly Twigs, Red Hats, Bocce League, Bingo and playing cards with her lovely ladies.
Carmela was predeceased by her parents, John and Frances Gioe D'Angelo and brother Joseph D'Angelo. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard Kunze, 2 loving daughters and son-in-laws, Sherrie and Jack Zurick of West Trenton, and Jill and Jim White of North Brunswick, a brother Michael D'Angelo of DE, 2 sisters, Gerri Ricci of Berkley Township and Frances Calabro of North Brunswick, and her most cherished possessions her 4 grandchildren, Racquel and Noelle Zurick and Colin and Brandon White, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River. NJ 08757. Private Burial will be held in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick in the family plot. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartmann Memorial Home 2830 Nottingham Way Mercerville NJ 08619
