Albert Joseph Kobus, Jr., 73, of Holiday City West in Berkeley Township, passed from this life peacefully at his home with his family present.  Albert was born on March 11, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Albert Sr., and Edith Kobus.  Albert was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather.  He was known for his kind heart and gentle soul.   His loyalty kept him at Chase for 28 years, and later The Christmas Tree Shop for 13 years.  He loved the Mets, his Irish heritage, rock music, and good food.   While living in Holiday City, he began to play bocce and became the team captain.  His brave battle with Parkinson’s disease ended too soon. 

Albert is predeceased by his parents, Albert Joseph Kobus, Sr., Edith O’Neil Kobus and brother Richard Kobus.

Albert is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Marietta Cosentino Kobus; sons, Brendan Kobus and Justin Kobus; daughter, Jamie Schrafft; and grandchildren, Jack; Christopher; Dylan; Patrick; James and Bryce.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 3pm to 7pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  All Committal services will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude and The Ronald McDonald House.
