Albert J. Van Splinter, Jr., 82 of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Born in Paterson, NJ, he lived in Prospect Park, NJ before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. He was a Newspaper Delivery Representative for Hudson News in Carlstadt, NJ. Albert is preceded in death by his parents Albert J., Sr., and Clara (Brand) Van Splinter, as well as his grandson Christopher Van Splinter. He will be forever missed by his wife of 61 years, Dolores (Castner), his son Alan and his wife Jane Van Splinter of West Milford, NJ, his daughters; Denise Van Splinter of Woodland Park, NJ, Diana and her husband Chuck Furey of Bridgewater, NJ, and Dawn Van Splinter of Springfield, NJ, grandchildren; Matthew Van Splinter, Charlie Furey, Daniel Furey, Ryan Furey, PJ Affinito, and David Affinito, as well as his great grandchildren; Cole Van Splinter, Myles Van Splinter, and Luca Affinito. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 4 to 8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow to Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
