Alexander Janowski Obituary

Alexander Milton Janowski, 96, of Lavallette, NJ, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024.

Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Irvington, NJ then Colonia, NJ.  He was a longtime summer resident of Lavallette and a winter resident of Hudson, Florida before moving to Lavallette permanently in 1988.

Alexander served in the United States Navy and was a graduate of Seton Hall University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry.

He worked as a Chemist for DuPont in Newark, NJ for many years before his retirement.  He enjoyed playing golf in his retirement years and was proud of his Hole In One at the course in Florida.

Alexander was predeceased by his wife Irene (nee Krzyzewski)

He is survived by his four children Deborah Janowski of Belleville, NJ, Judy Schubert and her husband Geoff of Mahwah, NJ, Ken Janowski and his wife Susan of Virginia and Allen Janowski of New York, and five grandchildren Scott Schubert, Brooke Schubert, Kyle Janowski, Lauren Genus and her husband Michael, and Ryan Janowski.

A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, September 14, 2024 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Grand Central Ave., Lavallette, NJ.  United States Navy Military Honors will be offered at 2:00pm.
