Anna M. (Cavicchio) Leonardis

Anna M. Leonardis, 73 of Berkeley Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Anna was born to the late Cosmo and Caterina Cavicchio in Gaeta, Italy. She moved to the U.S. with her family in 1954 and settled in South Plainfield NJ where she lived for many years until relocating to Berkeley Township in 2007. Anna was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was known to be a great cook and loved to bake with her grandchildren. She absolutely loved to sew and throughout the years, created many beautiful pieces such as quilts and tapestries for her friends and family. She was a hairdresser by trade and enjoyed cutting hair and socializing with her clients, friends and family who came and sat in her chair for many, many years. She was also an active member of The Toms River Elks lodge where she made many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Anna is predeceased by her parents, Cosmo Cavicchio; Caterina Eliante Cavicchio; and brother, Pasquale Cavicchio.

Anna is survived by her two sons, Peter Leonardis and his wife Cheryl of South Plainfield and Richard Leonardis of Berkeley Township; her partner, Jack Morgan of Berkeley Township; her sister, Rosa Leonardis and her husband Mario of South Plainfield and her brother, Raymond Cavicchio of Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cassidy & Dylan Leonardis.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River.
