Anne P. O’Sullivan Sandbrook was born on July 17, 1943, in Hartford, Connecticut and died peacefully on April 1, 2026, in Toms River, New Jersey after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Anne was a deeply caring and loving person who had a lasting and positive impact on all who knew and loved her.
Raised in the Bronx, New York, she attended St Helena’s High School in the Bronx and completed programs at Pace College & Simmons College. At 18 years of age, she started an extensive career at Citibank that spanned over 40 years. Her dedicated work ethic and intelligence led her to many key and vital roles within the organization.
Anne was a caregiver and always looked out for her family, friends, neighbors, and strangers. Her love language was cooking, and she was an excellent chef who always had a new recipe to share and every meal at her home was an event! When folks were in need, Anne was the first person to lend a hand usually by preparing a meal.
Anne loved to travel and visited many states in the USA and countries overseas, in Europe and the Middle East. She loved new adventures by traveling with family & friends and at times, she bravely traveled solo.
Her Catholic faith was the foundation of Anne’s life, and she was a parishioner at St. Maximillian Kolbe RC Church and a member of the Columbiettes. She also had a special devotion to St. Anthony of Padua.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Sandbrook, her parents, Michael & Josephine O’Sullivan; and her sister, Mary Maslamani. She is the loving sister of John O’Sullivan of Birmingham, Alabama and the beloved cousin of Mary Di Benedetto of Toms River, NJ. Anne was adored by her many godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 10, 2026 9:00am – 11:30am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12:00pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp.
