Anthony Joseph Ippolito, 85, of Berkeley Township passed from this life Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Anthony was born to the late Gaetano and Concetta Ippolito on March 24, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a loving father, devoted husband, proud grandfather, and great grandfather. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a self-employed restaurant owner. Anthony also loved to cook. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, gardening, and the beach. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Anthony is predeceased by his parents, his three sons, Anthony Ippolito, Jr., Thomas Ippolito; John Ippolito; as well as his brothers, Michael Ippolito; Albert Ippolito; and Mario Ippolito.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Leanora “Lee” Crawley Ippolito; daughter, Connie Palumbo and her husband Raymond, daughter Theresa Colombo and her husband Richard; sister, Nympha Meindel and her husband Robert. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 2pm to 6pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Monday, August 24, 2020 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Township with entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
