Anthony P. Luongo

Anthony P. Luongo, 86, Forked River, Lacey Twp., NJ, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Belleville, NJ and Lake Hopatcong, NJ before moving to Forked River.

Anthony received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bloomfield College and served in the National Guard.

He was owner of Luongo Trucking Co. in Kearny, NJ for many years.

Anthony was parishioner of Holy Family RC Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

He is survived by his wife Carlotta (nee Brescia), his three children Anthony J. Luongo and his wife Andrea (Carr) of Forked River, NJ, Denise Andolino of Bloomfield, NJ and Suzanne Ferrie of Wayne, NJ, six grandchildren; Nicole and her husband Jesus, Alyssa and her husband Piero, Danielle and her fiance' Angelo, Anthony, Christopher and Patrick and also four great grandchildren.; Lucas, Ethan, Avery, Grace and Augutus.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, June 30, 2024 2:00pm – 5:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, July 1, 2024 10:30am at Holy Family RC Church, Nutley, NJ.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
