Barbara L. (Virgin) Dawson

Barbara L. Dawson (nee Virgin), 93, of Holiday City West, Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024.

Born in Stamford, CT, she lived in Shrewsbury, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1997.

Barbara was a Bookkeeper for Lawes Fuel Co. in Shrewsbury, NJ then worked as a Financial Clerk for Honeywell in Eatontown, NJ.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Toms River and the church’s United Methodist Women. 

Barbara was also active with the Holiday City West Women’s Club.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Robert Dawson, her three children Russell Dawson of Rockville, MD, Ronald Dawson and his wife Elaine of Moneta, VA and Suzanne Stonaker and her husband Jim of Freehold, NJ, and five grandchildren Ron, Bob, Emily, Elisabeth and James.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 12, 2024 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  Burial to follow at the BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
