Bernadette Daly

Bernadette M. Daly, 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.  Bernadette grew up in South Orange and over time resided in Brick and then Lakehurst, New Jersey. 

Bernadette graduated from Columbia High School, Maplewood, New Jersey in 1975.  Growing up, she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.  

Bernadette was a school bus driver for the Wall Twp. School System for over 25 years.  She was a beloved part of that school district.

Bernadette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She loved to travel, whether it was on a cruise or a road trip in a questionable van.  She had a passion for the beach, concerts, enjoying music and even kicking back with a couple of cold ones.  Bernadette also made an awesome cheesecake!

Bernadette lived her life to the fullest with everything she did.  No one will ever forget her infectious laugh, smile, bear hugs or generosity.  She was the life of the party!

Bernadette was predeceased by her parents, George and M. Bernadette Daly, and her brother Dan Daly. Bernadette is survived by two daughters, Tracey Owens and husband Timothy, and grandson Levi, of Rhode Island; Shannon Daly and her partner William Pardy, Jr. of Toms River; brother James Daly and wife Patricia of Massachusetts; two sisters Denise Clawson of South Orange, New Jersey, Kathie Buchner and husband Bobby of Maplewood, New Jersey, and sister-in-law Kim Daly-Boyer and husband Nick Boyer of Toms River.  Also surviving are nephews and nieces: Dan Daly and husband Frank Villecco and son Lukus Villecco, Amanda and Robert Buchner, Christopher and Patrick Daly, Dalton and Paige Daly; and many relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 3:00-7:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Funeral Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd, Toms River.  A funeral service will be offered Wednesday 11:00am at the funeral home.  Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
