Bonnie Joyce Elia (nee Torok), 67, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Monroe, NJ. Bonnie later lived in Forked River, Lacey Twp., NJ before moving to Toms River 5 year ago.
Bonnie was a secretary for Greater Media Newspaper in East Brunswick, NJ for many years before her retirement.
Her most favorite place to be was on the sidelines or in the stands of the kids sporting events. She never missed a field hockey, softball, basketball or soccer game. You always knew that nunny would be there watching,rooting for you and your team. She never missed any. She loved crafting, painting and gardening. She had a love of books and playing games on her phone. She loved watching videos of monkeys, playing games on her phone and spent endless hours watching TikTok.
She was predeceased by her parents John Torok and Helen Slomiak and her brother John Torok.
Bonnie is survived by her two daughters Courtney Elia and her husband David Lawrence of Forked River, NJ and Lindsey Calvo and her husband Drew of Toms River, and three grandchildren Kalilah Johnson, Bobby and Faith Calvo and also her step grandchildren, Gavin and Gabby Lawrence.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 17, 2025 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River.
