Brenda L. (LoGrippo) Heffernan

Brenda L. Heffernan (nee LoGrippo), 84, of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Born and raised in New York City, she then lived in Howell, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 2018.

Brenda was Director of Religious Education at St. Veronica RC Church in Howell, NJ for 30 years before her retirement. She dedicated her life to the Catholic Church. Together with her husband, Dennis Heffernan, she coordinated RCIA and many other Catholic ministries.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Dennis Heffernan in 2023, her parents Anthony and Emily LoGrippo and her brother Robert LoGrippo.

Brenda is survived by her four children Dennis Heffernan and his wife Corinne of Huntington, NY, Christopher Heffernan of Middleport, PA, Debra Heffernan of Jackson, NJ, and Michael Heffernan of Toms River, NJ and six grandchildren Skylar, Conor, Elizabeth, Molly, Emily, and Nicole.

Brenda and Dennis were married for 60 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Brenda was always welcoming, inviting all to her home and table. Her love knew no bounds.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be offered Wednesday, July 8, 2026 12:00pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp.  Entombment to follow at St. Maximiliam Kolbe Christ the King Mausoleum.

Services are under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
