Brian Michael McCauley (46), born in Staten Island, NY to his mother Mary Anne and father James McCauley, passed away at home on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
A gentle, fun-loving man, Brian’s infectious personality captured the love and lifelong affection of all who knew him. Some of his talents and interests included gardening, live music (especially attending concerts of his nephew James), muscle cars, his dog Grayson and cat Thrash, family get-togethers, relaxing in the pool with his sister, and setting off fireworks with friends. Brian was fond of science fiction movies and novels, could resuscitate any wilting houseplant, and enjoyed many nights of cooking, grilling, and movie marathons with his nephew and husband. Brian will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends and all who were lucky enough to make his acquaintance.
Brian is survived by his husband, Nicholas Kinsman, his parents James and Mary Anne McCauley, his brother Mark and partner Lauren, his sister Kathleen Simione and her husband Michael, and their two children James and Julianna. He is predeceased by his sister Mary and is survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
