Carmela "Camille" (D'Alessandro) Scalabrino

Carmela “Camille” Scalabrino, 98 of Toms River, NJ passed away on August 13, 2025 at Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation in Toms River, NJ.

Born in Bronx, NY, she lived in Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY, before moving to Holiday City West many years ago.

Camille worked as a Billing Clerk at South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside, NY, for 12 years, retiring in 1984. She was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church in Berkeley Township, a member of the Women’s Club, and served on the committee for the Holiday City West Travelers Club. She also helped organize recreational activities and dances for the community.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Scalabrino; her sister, Lillie D’Alessandro; and her brother, Frank.

Surviving are her son, Joseph F. Scalabrino Jr., and his wife, Carol, of Waretown, NJ; two grandchildren, Robert and Jennifer; and four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Emily, Joseph, and Marcello.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, NJ.
