Carol Ann (Ungaro) Gerdes

Carol Ann Gerdes (Ungaro) 77 of Toms River, formerly of Stuart, Florida died peacefully at home on January 7, 2026. Married to Michael Gerdes in 1968. Even though they parted ways, they created a beautiful family.

Carol’s daughter, Michele Gerdes of Toms River and son, Michael Gerdes and his wife, Marie of Malverne, New York; 5 beautiful grandchildren, Breanna; Rose; Haley Theresa and Patrick, great grandchildren, Lucciani and Roan. Carol also leaves behind her faithful and well loved chihuahua, Cleopatra. Carol loved her family and did all she could to help them. She was the owner of several successful businesses. Carol crocheted, loved to go dancing with her friends, playing games and began running marathons in her 50’s. Carol traveled to Italy in 2019, which was a lifelong dream. Carol always became active in the local community in which she lived. Carol led a full life and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
