Carolyn Jane Knott, 78, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Carolyn was born in Waynesburg, PA and lived in Woodbridge, NJ with her husband, William J. Knott, before they moved to Toms River 26 years ago. She was a devoted mother to Rob, Jackie and Darla; grandmother to Catlin, Megan, Robbie, Melissa, Shaun, Kyle, Ryan, Brittany, Bobby, Daphne and Delaney; and great-grandmother to Jaxon, Everette, Maveric, Kynder, Alexis, Christian and Bobby, Jr.
Carolyn worked as a hairdresser at Avenel Beauty Nook in Avenel, NJ for many years. She was an active member of the Woodbridge Elks Emblem Club and a parishioner of Pinelands Reformed Church in Toms River. She enjoyed participating in the Bocce Club and was a dedicated volunteer at Community Medical Center and Second Time Around Consignment Shop. Carolyn loved traveling with her husband and spending their winters in Florida. She loved to dance and listen to classic country music. Carolyn genuinely enjoyed life and being surrounded by family and friends.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her loving husband William J. Knott, her parents Robert and Evelyn Wells, her brother John Allen Wells and her sister Jean Ross. She is survived by her loving children; Robert Morris and his wife Kelly of Morgantown, WV, Jacquelyn Bigos of Yardley, PA and Darla Donnellan and her husband Craig of Bayville, NJ, two sisters; Patricia Parks and Dorothy Bedillion, 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial Gathering on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 2 to 4pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River. A Funeral Service will be offered at 3pm at the funeral home.
