Cheryl Ann Fogu

Cheryl Ann Fogu, 70 of Berkeley Township Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Cheryl was born October 2, 1955 in Jersey City. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She is best described as a woman who lived for family. She valued times with family and friends, hosting holiday gatherings, parties, and barbeques, and treasured times at the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, cruising and trips to Disney World with her children and grandchildren. She was an employee of the State of New Jersey Attorney General’s Office at the Hughes Justice Complex in Trenton for many years and had many great relationships with her coworkers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Cheryl is predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas J. Fogu, her parents, Daniel F. and Dorothy (Dailey) Geiss, and sister-in-law Debbie Good.

Cheryl is survived by her loving partner John (JJ) Heinis, sons George Gallagher Jr and his wife Danielle of Toms River; Brian Fogu and his wife Julie of Baldwinsville NY; brother Daniel Geiss (Jodi) of Toms River and sister, Kathleen Priore (Carmine) of Manalapan, grandchildren Peyton, Addison & Jake Gallagher and Nickolas and Annabelle Fogu. She is also survived by her niece Vanessa Fox (Michael Bino), nephew Matthew Fox (Francesca), and great nephews Nathaniel and Noah Bino; plus, best friends Laure and cousin Susan.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church with entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
