Christopher T. Lang

Christopher T. Lang, a cherished husband, father, uncle and friend passed away surrounded by his loving family on Nov 26, 2024. Chris was born on October 7, 1945 in the Bronx to Frank and Clara Lang. He lived in Hazlet, NJ for many years before moving to Toms River in 1999.

 Chris married the love of his life, Susan, in 1979 and together they raised their son Tom. Chis' legacy will live forever in his son, the light of his life. He never missed any of Toms' sports games and coached his basketball teams for many years. Chris was a proud carpenter for Local 65 in Perth Amboy, NJ. When he wasn't on the job site, Chris could be found on the water, enjoying his boat the Caribbean Queen. He cherished his time fishing with his son, or cruising with family and friends. He was always happiest when he was near the water and with his family. He was the former Commodore of Lighthouse Point Yacht Club and current member of Gilford Park Yacht Club.  He was the first to make people laugh with a joke and had a smile that could turn anyone’s day around. He was a great man to all who knew him, his fun-loving nature and zest for life made every day a memorable one. He loved to entertain at home or dinner outings with his wife Susan and close friends always a favorite event.

Chris was a parishioner of St. Justin the Martyr RC Church, Toms River. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Clara Lang and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan (nee Kelly), his son, Thomas Lang, who is his pride and joy and many loving nieces and nephews. He also has a four-legged best friend Jaxon, that he loved to snuggle with nightly.

 Chris leaves behind a legacy of hard work, humor, and a lot of love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his treasured family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire us, as he will live forever in our hearts.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 29, 2024 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, November 30, 2025 10:30am at St. Justin the Martyr RC Church, Toms River.  Entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
