Claire Marie Prato Weimmer, 69, of Manchester Twp., NJ was born into eternal life on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
Claire was born in Newark, NJ and spent her early years in Seaside Heights, NJ until after her marriage and move to Manchester, NJ 39 years ago.
Claire had a double Master’s Degree from Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ. After which began her career as a much loved educator. Claire taught for 20 years in the Manchester Twp., School District before becoming an administrator serving for 4 years as Supervisor of Instruction, then 6 years as Vice Principal. She also served as the District Affirmative Action Officer. Her career continued at Ocean County College from 1986 thru 2020 as an Adjunct Professor of English and Literature.
Claire was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Seaside Heights, NJ and served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and as a member of the Rosary Alter Society.
Claire leaves a legacy of genuine warmth, unconditional love and friendship. The scope of the lives she has touched is immeasurable. She was an avid reader, a ferocious shopper, and consummate baker of much demanded biscotti.
Claire is predeceased by her parents Josephine and Carmine Prato.
Surviving is her husband John W. Weimmer, Sr. of Manchester, NJ; her children Adrienne Montgomery and grandson Austin of Toms River, NJ, Amanda Sirchio and her husband Alan and grandson Dominic of Toms River, NJ, and John W. Weimmer, Jr. and his partner Ciara Mccray and grandson Carson of Lakehurst, NJ; her loyal and constant canine companion, Boo; her sisters Connie Prato of Toms River, NJ, Marie Lombardi of Manahawkin, NJ and Anne Hamadyk of Toms River, NJ; Aunts Dolores and Babe, Uncle Frank, and many extended family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 12:00pm -4:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Funeral Home, 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday May 24, 2021 10:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church in Seaside Heights, NJ. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
