Cynthia B. Toomey

Cynthia B. Toomey, 56, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Born in Pompton Plains, NJ, she grew up in Matawan before moving to Toms River to raise her family. She eventually moved to Lanoka Harbor in 2021. 

Cindy graduated from Matawan Regional High School, and received her bachelor’s degree in Early Education/ Special Education from the University of Delaware.

She worked as a Developmental Therapist for almost 30 years with the Early Childhood Education Program of Monmouth and Ocean County, as well as the Ladicin Network in Wanamassa, NJ. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Carole (Harcher) Borr. Cindy will be forever missed by her loving husband of 30 years, Brian Toomey, and she will always be remembered and cherished by her daughters Kate Toomey (Bayville, NJ), and Meghan Toomey (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), as well as her brothers Richard Borr (Greenbrooke, NJ) and Thomas Borr (Matawan, NJ). She will be greatly missed by her vast
extended family.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 4 to 8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals - O'Connell Chapel, 706 US Hwy 9, Bayville, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 11am at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, 1070 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ.
