Daniel A. Damato, Sr., 75, of Berkeley Twsp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Beachwood, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp. 19 years ago. He was a Machinist for Fluid Packaging in Lakewood, NJ. Dan was a dedicated member of the Silver Ridge Westerly Men’s Club, Chief Cook and Man of the Year, Tuesday / Thursday Card Player, and Bocce Player and Referee. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Dolores “Dorris” (Zinn) D’Amato, as well as his brothers Richard “Ricky” and Ronald D’Amato. He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret “Marge” (Malachoski) Damato, his children Daniel A. Damato, Jr. of Long Beach Island, NJ, and Gina and her husband John O’Hara of Beachwood, NJ, his brother Robert D’Amato, his sisters; Cecelia Widmer and Rose Murphy, as well as his grandchildren; Gabriella Damato and her fiancé Tyler Seubert, Daniel A. Damato III, Johnathan Damato, Isabella O’Hara, and Ashley O’Hara. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 3 to 7pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be offered at 6pm at the funeral home.
