Daniel I. Russell

Daniel I. Russell Jr., 82 of Lavallette, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024 surrounded by his wife and daughter at home.

Daniel was born in Jersey City, NJ. He lived in Bayonne, NJ for many years before moving to Lavallette in 1995.

He was in the National Guard.

He attended St. Peter’s College and worked at PSE&G for many years as an electrical engineer.

Daniel loved to go out on his boat, listen to Bob Seger and spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Daniel Sr. and Susan (Serafin) Russell, and his son Richard Russell and brother Robert Russell of Colorado.

Surviving is his loving devoted wife of over sixty years, Maureen (Ryan) Russell, daughter Kerri (Russell) Russo and her husband James Russo of Toms River, NJ and by his dear grandchildren; Daniel, Kassidy and Kileigh Russo. He is also survived by his loving sisters in-law, brothers in-law and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 3pm to7pm at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals,706 Grand Central Ave. Lavallette, NJ 08735. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 10am at St. Pio of Pietrelcina RC Church, Lavallette, NJ. Entombment  will follow to St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
