David M. Wood

David M. Wood, 63, of Farmingdale, NJ, lovingly known as Dave to all, passed away on December 5, 2025 surrounded by his friends and family.

Dave loved spending his time managing Farmingdale Liquors and serving his community.  He was an avid Notre Dame Fan and, in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, traveling to Minnesota and New York, while being a history buff and spending time with his daughter.  Dave had amazing qualities, such as being a fighter, having perseverance, being strong willed, loveable, honest, loyal, determined and an overall goof ball.

Dave had an amazing smile that would brighten up anyone’s day.  He would give you the shirt off his own back.  To many others, Dave was well known for his big red truck that was always parked in front of his place of work.  Dave always saw the positivity in any situation no matter how tough it was.  He truly did have the “Fighting Irish” spirit.

Dave was predeceased by his wife Robyn and his parents Raymond and Mary Wood and his brother Patrick.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law Brianna and Vincent Castellana of Minnesota, as well as his brothers Kevin Wood and his wife Suzanne of Toms River, Brian Wood and his wife Joann of Lewes, DE and Sean Wood and his wife Linda of Ballston Spa, NY.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Dave’s life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Dave can be made to the American Cancer Society.
