Diane C. (Wiezel) Simmons

Diane Christine Simmons, 74 of Berkeley Township, passed from this life peacefully surrounded by love and family on Monday, February 3, 2025.  She was born October 6, 1950 in Kearny, New Jersey to the late Victor and Mary Wiezel. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and fierce friend.

Self proclaimed as the biggest Buffalo Bills fan in New Jersey, a discerning connoisseur of finely flavored margaritas, and a great lover of “real” country music and light and sweet Dunkin coffee — Diane was a firecracker whose light will be missed by all who knew her.

Diane is predeceased by her parents, Victor Wiezel, Jr.; Mary Frances Osinski; and daughter, Sabrina Simmons.

Diane is survived by her husband, Samuel Simmons; son, Scott Simmons and his wife Stephanie LaVerde; daughter, Stacey Simmons and her partner Colin DeTuro and brother, Ted Wiezel.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday February 14, 2025 10am at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River, NJ 08753
