Donald D. Kelton, 92, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Branchburg, NJ before moving to Toms River 10 years ago.
Donald retired as a Sergeant from the Jersey City Police Department in 1998 after 30 years of service.
He was a United States Navy Korean War veteran.
Donald was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Marie E. Kelton (nee White) in 2020 and his parents James and Catherine Kelton.
He is survived by his four children: Steven Kelton and his wife Lauren of Allentown, NJ, Karen McManus and her husband Patrick of Kenilworth, NJ, Kevin Kelton and his wife Bernadette of Branchburg, NJ and Glen Kelton and his wife Lucy of Fort Myers, FL.
Donald is also survived by his eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 9:30am – 11:30am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12:00pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. Burial to follow at the BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Donald can be made to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or the Alzheimer’s Association.
