Doris E. Staats

Doris E. Staats, 87, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021. Born in Lynchburg, VA, she lived in Dumont, NJ, before moving to Toms River in 1996. She was a Telephone Operator, as well as a parishioner of the First United Methodist Church in Toms River, and a member of the Women’s Club. She is preceded in death by her husband William Staats, her daughter Mary Frank, and her parents Wallace and Gertrude (Trent) Carwile. Doris is survived by her son William Staats, her brother David Carwile, her sister Betty Price, her granddaughters Kristen Frank and Nicole Staats, as well as three great grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 4 to 6pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St Catherine Blvd. A Funeral Service will be offered on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 10am at the funeral home.
