Edward Anthony Duva, 87 of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Edward was born October 28, 1933 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Edward and Antoinette Duva. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He served his country honorably in the United States Army in Korea and was a successful businessman. He served his community selflessly as a basketball coach, baseball coach and umpire. He was a diehard fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees. He was devoted to his family and his faith. Edward will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Edward is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Juliano Duva; sons, Robert Duva and his wife Carrie of Marlboro; Gregory Duva and his wife Patricia of Hammonton; Michael Duva and his partner Kathleen Chavez of Toms River; grandchildren, Lindsay Duva and Zachary Duva.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 2pm to 6pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River, New Jersey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Saturday, November 28, 2020 at St. Justin the Martyr RC Church, Toms River. Committal services will be held privately.
