Edward T. Jinks, Jr., 94, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Roseland, NJ before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Shangri-La before establishing a career as Owner and Operator of Oscar’s Luncheonette in East Orange, NJ.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edward T., Sr. and Helen (Petrillo) Jinks, as well as his siblings; Fred, Claire, and Dorothy.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Jean (Barrasso) Jinks, his children; John and his wife Linda Jinks, Barbara and her husband Mike Daly, and Judy Collucci, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be offered on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11am at St. Joseph Cemetery, 56 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org in his memory. All arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Timothy E.
