Eileen V. Keelen

Eileen V. Keelen (nee O’Connor), 90, of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025. Born in Newark, NJ, she lived in Belleville, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1997.

Eileen was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp.  She loved going to Atlantic City with her friends of 70 years from the Birthday Club and loved watching football on Sundays and hosting her annual super bowl parties. She married her childhood sweetheart and was loved by all who knew her.

Eileen will be dearly missed by her beloved nephew Kevin O'Connor and her wonderful caretaker Rose. 

She was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Keelen in 1995 and her two brothers Jack and Tom.

Eileen is survived by her two children Brian Keelen and his wife Patricia of Toms River, NJ, Eileen Monaco and her husband Robert of Barnegat, NJ, seven grandchildren Brian James, Melissa, Tracey, Alison, Michael, Tonianne, Joseph and five great grandchildren Brynn, Emma, Isla, Jack and Finn.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 22, 2025 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, September 23, 2025 10:00am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp.  Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
