Elinor R. (Webel) Gally

Mother, singer, retired interior designer and matriarch of the Gally Family, Elinor Gally passed away while in her sleep on Monday, October 28, 2024 at the age of 94.  Ellie was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her by living their lives to the fullest.  This beautiful woman enjoyed a full life raising three boys, AJ, Timmy and Jimmy.  She was married to “Moe” Gally until his passing in 2016. Ellie enjoyed many fabulous times while on vacation with Moe, her boys, and grandchildren. The simplest pleasures in life gave great joy to Ellie.  She expressed many times that spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved pets were the highlight of her life.  Ellie was a lifelong resident of Lakewood until moving with Moe to their home in Jackson in 1988, where many holidays, parties, weddings, and events were held.  Elinor was a professional child singer and performed many times on New York radio.  Her unbelievable singing voice could rival that of any professional, but instead of pursuing that career her decision to start a family to her was the better choice.  She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in the daily activities of caring for her family.  Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. 

Ellie was predeceased by her loving husband, “Moe” Gally. 

Ellie is survived by her sons, AJ Gally and his wife Nancy; Timmy Gally and his wife Karen; Jimmy Gally and his wife Megan; grandchildren, Kendra Rossano and her husband Robert; Kourtney Gally and fiancé Mike Taveras; Kellie Kucinski and her husband John; great grandchildren, RJ Rossano; Ella Rossano; Lola James Taveras; Cole Kucinski and Quin Kucinski.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
