Emil W. Stefanacci, 86 of Seaside Park, NJ died on Wednesday March 11, 2026. Born in Passaic, NJ he lived there until moving to Seaside Park in 2000. He was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Rutherford and served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Emil worked as a Marketing Manager for ITT in Nutley, NJ until his retirement. He was a parishioner of St Catharine’s RC Church in Seaside Park. He was an active member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, and Elks club. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather and trusted friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Emil was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Angela, and niece Lisa Stefanacci.
Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years Virginia (nee Lydon), his sister-in-law Cathy Stefanacci, his 2 devoted sons, Emil, and his wife Kelly, and Mark, his beloved niece Jean Marie Caboy, and her husband Kevin, and his grandchildren: Patrick, Megan, Angela, and Marco and grandniece Lily.
Emil loved spending time with his family and welcomed everyone into his home. A wonderful host, he would forever be refilling your drink.
An avid sportsman since high school, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating with his family. He also loved football and never missed watching his Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Emil brought Christmas joy to many children and adults, playing Santa Claus for many years. He often made multiple appearances a day each December. He never missed lighting the Christmas tree in Seaside Park.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 809 Central Ave. Seaside Park, from 3pm to 7pm. The Funeral Mass for Emil will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Catharine RC Church, Seaside Park with burial to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi, NJ.
