Eugene J. McGivney

Eugene J. McGivney, 82, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. 

Born in Bronx, NY, he lived in Brooklyn before settling in Whiting, NJ. 

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era before establishing a career as a New York City Police Officer with the 67th Precinct in Brooklyn. 

Eugene is preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Burns) McGivney, as well as his parents Owen and Marion (McMorrow) McGivney.

He will be forever held in the hearts of his loving family, son Eugene J. McGivney, Jr. of Old Bridge, NJ, daughters Denise Cividanes of Old Bridge, NJ, and Susan McGivney of Whiting, NJ, his brother and sister in-law John and Mary Ann McGivney, his grandchildren, Meghan and Tara McGivney, Isabella and Olivia Cividanes and many nieces and nephews. 

All arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ.
