Eveline Sadankas Obituary

Eveline Ann Sadankas, born in 1930. Daughter of Agnes Grey & Percival Lee. Married to the love of her life, Gilbert. Mother to Mary, Edward, Ruth and Claire. Mother in law to Ed and Cynthia. Mother to everyone.

Ev was born, raised and lived the majority of her life in the Vailsburg section of Newark and later lived in Union. A teacher aide in the Newark school system for 25 years and active member of Sacred Heart Church in Vailsburg. Ev, Evy, Mom, Hun, Grandma Ev, St. Eveline, Dank, Mrs. Eveline, the teacher, confidant, ultimate listener and best person to fall into a fit of laughter with.

Ev spent the last 12 years living at her beach house in Ocean Beach 1, that she & Gil bought in 1950’s. The “tall elegant woman in the hat” left this life, from that house on May 16, 2023. Friday, June 2, 2023 we will be celebrating Ev.

Please join us dressed in bright colors, as she requested. 11am service at St Pio’s Church, 103 Washington Ave, Lavallette, NJ 08735 After the service we’ll return to the beach house for a celebration and if the weather permits…beach time. Feel free to stop by anytime on Friday for lunch or dinner. We promise she isn’t stuffed, sitting in the rocking chair on the porch…..
