F. Keith Ferguson

July 22, 1951- October 31, 2023

Keith Ferguson, 72, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023.  Keith was born in Jersey City, NJ to the joy of his parents, Frank and Helen Ferguson.  Keith was a proud graduate of Essex Catholic High School in Newark, NJ, but the highlight of his life was his 52-year marriage to his high school sweetheart, Patricia (Patti) Ferguson (nee Andresakes).  Keith and Patti raised their family in West Orange, NJ, where they lived until they retired to Toms River in 2017.

Keith adored his children Eric (Kristi) Ferguson, Amy (Doug) Aiello, and Brian (Jill) Ferguson, and four grandchildren, Jack, Sydney, Abby and Lexi.  He was an avid reader, who cherished his early morning reading time, even if it meant waking up at 5 am to read before his commute across the Tappan Zee Bridge. Keith was a Giants and Yankees fan, taking the love of sports from his dad and passing it on to his own sons. And while his passion for golf was short lived, there are likely still some permanent dents in the cars and homes around the Weequahic Golf Course that can be directly attributed to him.  Keith was known to many for his sharp wit, which was matched only by that of his daughter, who was always able to put a smile on his face.

Keith is survived by his only sister Cathleen (Lawrence) DiDonato, numerous nieces and nephews, loving cousins and many loyal friends.

More than anything, Keith would want to be remembered for the love he had for his wife, his family, and a good laugh.  In lieu of flowers, please make a point to make someone smile today.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 3, 2023 2:00pm – 5:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
