Florence E. Tynski

Florence Emma (Joubert) Tynski passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 after a short illness. Daughter of the late Robert and Adelaide (Taylor) Joubert, Florence was born in Newark, New Jersey on February 13, 1936, raised in Union, New Jersey and summered in Lavallette, where she would meet her future husband and the love of her life, Robert M. Tynski. Married on July 28, 1955, their union was a beautiful, long, and happy one, spending almost every day together owning and operating the Bay Berry Motel, Jewelry and Gift Shop in Lavallette until they sold both businesses in 1996.

Florence was an active parishioner of St. Pio parish in Lavallette, belonging to the Rosary Society for over 60 years. Florence was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus and a life time supporter of Deborah Hospital. In addition, she belonged to the Lavallette Seniors. She especially enjoyed her monthly lunches with her friends from Grammar School and High School.

Florence was predeceased by her husband Robert Tynski, her parents Robert and Adelaide (Taylor) Joubert, an older brother Robert Joubert, and a cherished niece Linda Joubert-McMahon. She is survived by her son, Rev. Robert Tynski, a niece Elaine Joubert-Tilton (who was like a daughter to Florence), Elaine’s husband Walter and her wonderful great niece and nephew Christine Tilton and Michael Tilton.

The Family would also like to acknowledge and offer special thanks to the doctors, nurses, aides , and social workers, who lovingly cared for Florence at Hackensack Meridian Hospital and Johnson Rehabilitation Center in Brick, New Jersey, as well as the hospice team who cared for Florence at her home in Lavallette. Finally, thanks and special mention must be made in gratitude for the kindness shown to Florence by the Lavallette First Aid Squad and Lavallette Police. Their care, concern, and attention to Florence’s needs eased her transition into eternal life.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 3 to 6pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Highway 35N, Lavallette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10am at St. Pio of Pietrelcina RC Church, Lavallette, NJ. Interment will follow to St Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ.
