Francis P. Darcy, Jr.

Francis P. Darcy, Jr., 79 of Berkeley Township, passed from this life peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023. Francis was born August 19, 1944 in East Orange to the late Francis Sr and Catherine Darcy. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam as a Medic.  He was a man devoted to his family, proud of his Irish heritage and was an Electrician for the local 164 of Jersey City. He was retired from IUOE Local 68. He was a member of the American Irish Association of Woodbridge and served as their Grand Marshal for the St Patrick’s Day Parade. He belonged to the AOH Michael Davitt Division. He was known for dressing up as St Patrick at Finnegans in Delray Beach, FL. He was a lifelong NY Giants fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Francis is predeceased by his parents, Francis P. Darcy, Sr.; Catherine Morley Darcy; sisters, Mary McGovern and Patricia Ruane.

Francis is survived by his wife, Kathleen Crowe Darcy; sons, Francis Darcy and his wife Julie of Florida; Kevin Darcy and his wife Christine of Spring Lake Heights; daughter, Karen Darcy of Barnegat; brother, Brian Darcy and his wife Cindy of Weedsport, New York; sister, Eileen Herbert and her husband Patrick of Highland Beach Florida; grandchildren, Caitlin Hertzberg, Miranda Kleiman, Mary Frances Peterson, Eoin Darcy, Allison Darcy, Caileigh Darcy Thomas Darcy; great grandchildren, Angelo Casmas, Henry Kleiman, Elianna Kleiman

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday November 24, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9am, Saturday, November 25, 2023 at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River.
