Francis "Joey" Paolillo

Francis “Joey” Paolillo, 54 of Toms River, passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2021. Joey was born May 12, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Ciro Paolillo, Sr. and Rosa Guida Paolillo. He was a loving husband, devoted dad, and adoring pop-pop. He was the proud owner of Asbury Auto Tops, his home away from home, for almost 30 years. Joey opened his doors to any who came through, with many regulars who enjoyed his unique craftmanship and company. An adventurous spirit, Joey enjoyed his boats, jet skis, cars, and motorcycles. Joey loved to take long drives with his family, including trips to Boston College to visit his daughter. Some of his other favorite memories were spent with his brothers, particularly the infamous camping trips.

Joey was known by many for his Brooklyn grit and big heart. He was a hard worker and a dependable man who put his family above all else. He is beloved by his family, friends, and staff. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Joey is survived by his wife Marcy Cohen Paolillo; children, Joe, Dan, and Sarina Paolillo of Toms River; grandchild, Ryan Paolillo of Toms River; brothers, Tommy Paolillo and his wife Biondina of Matawan; Ciro Paolillo and his wife Jackie of Toms River; Johnny Paolillo and his wife Ellen of Toms River; Michael Paolillo and his wife Vittoria of Manalapan; uncle and bonus brother, Ralph Guida and his wife Louisa of Toms River; and all of his numerous nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, and cousins.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ 08755. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021, 10 am at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
