Frederick William Mayo, Sr., 70 of Lawrenceville, passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Jackson Township. Frederick was born on January 22, 1954, in Trenton. He was a loving husband, devoted father,, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served his country proudly and honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed times hunting and camping. He enjoyed rooting for his Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Phillies. His greatest achievement and most enjoyable moments were always with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Frederick is predeceased by his parents, Frederick Young and Ellen Brindley, and his brothers, Robert Noah, David Mayo, and Jeffrey Mayo.
Frederick is survived by his wife and best friend, Christene Chamberlin Mayo; son, Frederick Mayo, Jr. and his wife Barbara of North Carolina; daughters, Denise Diaz and her husband Darius of Morrisville, PA; Amy Fowler and her husband Tracy North Carolina; Ellen Santiago and her husband Ritchie, Sr. of Lawrenceville; Kellie Tompkins and her husband Mickie of North Carolina; Sadie Mayo and her partner Keyon Bonner of Browns Mills; brother, Edward Mayo of Trenton; sisters, Anna Mayo of Browns Mills; Mary Maldonado of Newton; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 1 pm to 5 pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals DeBow Chapel, 150 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson. All Committal Services will be held privately.
