Frederick Paccione Obituary

Frederick Joseph Paccione, 79, of Ortley Beach, New Jersey, formerly of Demarest, New Jersey and Bronx, New York, passed away on November 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Fred was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, in an Italian-American household. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School, where he was a member of the gymnastics team. Fred proudly served in the United States Army as a decorated member of the 82nd Airborne. Upon his honorable discharge, he graduated from Herbert H. Lehman College with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He married his former wife Janet, and they built a beautiful life together. Fred went on to become the Vice President of Sales at Wang Laboratories. He moved to Demarest, New Jersey, and became a father to his three children: Michael, Elizabeth, and Matthew. He resided in Demarest for nearly 30 years as an active member of the community, volunteering as a youth sports coach and Sunday school teacher. It was during this time that Fred shifted from the technology industry and found success as a business owner. He was a devout Catholic, regularly reading the bible and attending mass at Saint Joseph’s Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on his boats, Pegasus and The Lone Ranger. Whether multi-day fishing excursions with friends or casual fun in the sun with his family, he cherished his time on the water. Fred treasured a good cigar, singing along to Frank Sinatra, and spending time with his children. He loved spending his summers with his family at the Jersey Shore in Ortley Beach before deciding to live there full time in 2014. In his final years, Fred found his most rewarding role working as a Paraprofessional for the Toms River School District. He adored the students and faculty that he got to spend his days with.

Fred is predeceased by his parents Joseph Paccione and Annette Morea Paccione; his brother, Michael Paccione and wife, Joanne; his sister Jeanette Emanuel and husband, Charles; and his sister Lucille Paccione.

Fred is survived by his son, Michael Paccione and his wife, Ana Celaya, of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughter Elizabeth Leo and her husband, Travis Leo, of Delray Beach, Florida; his son, Matthew Paccione, of Ortley Beach, New Jersey; and his former wife, Janet Paccione, of Dumont, New Jersey.
