Gene-Ann Pesano (nee Perry), 79, of Brick, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Born in Portsmouth, VA, she was raised in Sayville, NY, as well as in Connecticut and Nova Scotia. As an adult, Gene-Ann spent several years living in California and Jackson, NJ, before moving to Brick, NJ, approximately 35 years ago.
Gene-Ann was Head of Programming at Johnson & Johnson and PerkinElmer for many years, followed by several years as an independent software developer and engineer. Most recently, prior to her retirement, she was a Financial Advisor.
She was an avid bowler, skier, and needleworker. After retirement she formed and managed a non-profit organization, Circles of Love, supplying children's clothes, which was shipped worldwide to underdeveloped countries. She was an associate member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and a past president and current member of the Brick Morning Rotary.
Gene-Ann is survived by her husband Philip Pesano; her two children Matthew Bloomberg and his wife Teresa, and Douglas Bloomberg; and stepson, Jim Williams. She is also survived by her four siblings David Perry, Michael Perry, Terry Adler, and Kevin Perry. Lastly, she is survived by her two grandchildren, Andrew Bloomberg and Maya Williams, both of whom she loved dearly and was fiercely proud of them.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 30, 2026, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ.
