George J. Schick, 67, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Born in Denville, NJ, George moved to the Shore 18 years ago with his family.
After graduating from Bloomfield High School, he completed a Bachelor’s degree at Montclair State University and was a member of the Epsilon Delta Epsilon business fraternity. George eventually became a benefits administrator at Xerox in Cherry Hill, NJ.
George was an active member of Brick Presbyterian Church and loved music, singing, community theater, and was a diehard Yankees fan. George felt blessed to be a liver transplant recipient in 2019 at University Hospital in Newark. To his lawn bowling family, he will forever be known as “A Great Guy.” George truly was loved by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Hamill, and brother, Rudolph “Rudy” Schick.
George is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marlene Hirt, his twin children Matthew and Merri Schick, and sister Patricia Wilson of Kansas.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 3:00pm until the funeral service at 6:30pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River.
