(George) Raymond Seichter, 98 of the Silver Ridge Park Westerly section of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021. Born and raised in South Bound Brook, NJ, he lived in North Plainfield, NJ for 40 years before moving to Toms River over 30 years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. in both World War II and Korea. The Marines provided Ray with an opportunity to attend college and was accepted into Princeton University as the Class of 1948. He then established a career as a Civil Engineer for Bell Telephone Co. in Jersey City, NJ and eventually was on the Vice President of Engineering staff before retiring after 38 years. He was preceded in death by Doris, his beloved wife of 73 years. Ray is survived by his two daughters, Doreen and husband Gerald Venitelli of Toms River, Donna and husband John Greeley of Manasquan. Four grandchildren; Lisa and husband Steve Altieri, Gina and husband Peter Kruszewski, Lauren and husband Eric Schuck and Michael Greeley. Six great-grandchildren; twins Kayleigh and Madison Laughery, Anthony, Nicky and Tyler Altieri and Ana Kruszewski, along with nieces Lynn, Mary and nephew Kenny Mattison. The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial Gathering on March 28, 2021 from 10AM to NOON at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ 08757. A Service will follow at Noon at the funeral home. Committal will be private.
