Gerald Huston

Gerald A. Huston, 95 of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Saturday September 27, 2025.

Gerald was born January 5, 1930 in Newark, NJ to the late Andrew and Helen Huston. He was a loving

husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His life centered around the care, support, and love of his family. Gerald was married for 69 years and enjoyed his wife’s cooking, lived for family events and making memories. He is best described by his family as the most honest man they have known. He will be missed greatly.

Gerald is predeceased by his parents, Andrew Huston; Helen Brooks Huston; wife, Rosemary Huston and brother, Ronald Huston.

Gerald is survived by his sons, Gregory Huston and his wife Denise; Stephen Huston and his wife Kathy; daughter, Carol Fitzgerald and her husband Dave; grandchildren, Christine Huston; Sean Fitzgerald and his wife Carolyn; Daniel Fitzgerald; Matthew Huston and his wife Katie; Andrew Huston; great granddaughter, Faye Fitzgerald.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Chapel Service will be held at the funeral home at 10am, Saturday, October 4, 2025 with Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
