Geraldine Elsey

Geraldine Elsey, 79 of Toms River, passed unexpectedly from this life at her home on Thursday, November 28, 2024. Geraldine was born September 22, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Gregory and Ethel Rutnik. She was a loving mother and grandmother with a beautiful soul. She worked as an administrative assistant for Air Cruisers/Zodiac Aerospace and enjoyed bowling and playing racquetball. She loved her family above all else and enjoyed any occasion to have her family together, especially the Christmas party and clam bakes in Albany. She loved going to the beach and traveling. She was a lifelong Yankee fan and never missed a game. She was an independent woman and touched all with her thoughtfulness and love of life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Geraldine is predeceased by her parents, Gregory Rutnik; Ethel Sayers; and son, Gregory Elsey. Geraldine is survived by her sons, Robert Elsey and his wife Jodyann; Michael Elsey and his wife Jennifer; sisters, Jo-Ann Mattei; Margaret Tokoly; Elizabeth Veit Maryann Wells; grandchildren, Emily; Gregory; Madison and Kerigan. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9am, Saturday, December 7, 2024, at St. joseph RC Church with Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
