Heather Scaglione Obituary

Heather Scaglione (nee Aitken) passed away on March 23, 2024, in Brick, New Jersey, at the age of 90. She was born on December 7, 1933, in Paterson, NJ to Robert and Isabella Aitken. Grew up in Haledon, NJ, raised her family in Wayne, NJ and spent her summers in Monterey Beach Lavallette, NJ and resided in Brick, NJ. She was predeceased by her high school sweetheart and husband Emil.

Heather is survived by her daughters, Susan Helterbran & (David) Sewell, NJ, Patricia O'Herlihy &(Robert) Lavallette, NJ and Roberta Tomlinson Brick, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Melanie Wilson (Tara) Charlotte, NC, Robert J. O'Herlihy (Alyssa) Wyckoff, NJ, David Helterbran (Emily) Bishopville,  MD, Christopher O'Herlihy (Sara) Pompton Plains, NJ, Matthew Tomlinson, US Navy Little River SC  , John O ‘Herlihy Lavallette, NJ and Brianne Tomlinson Cliffwood, NJ as well as her great-grandchildren Luke, Quinn, and Dean. Also her sister in- laws Jean Waddington of Florida and Irene Campagna (Ray) of Wayne, NJ. Heather (Hez) was the life of the party and most of all loved her family dearly.

Heather was a member of the Daughters of Scotia and the Flower of Scotland Lodge #258 in Pt. Pleasant, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Jersey Shore Animal Center of Brick, NJ or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funeral in Toms River, NJ.
