Hedwig J. (Colucci) Rogine

Hedwig Josephine Rogine, of Berkeley Township, passed from this life peacefully at her

home surrounded by family on Sunday, May 14, 2023. To say she was loved would be an incredible understatement. She was cherished. She was born to the late Antonio and Helen Colucci on April 27th, 1918, an epic day of days.

She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and revered Grandmother. Known to everyone as “Jo”, she was a woman full of life. She tiled her own bathrooms, painted her own walls, and kept her iron hot. She exuded grace, wit, and strength. All who knew her will miss her deeply.

Jo was predeceased by her parents: Antonio Colucci and Helen Sochacki, her husband: Michael J. Rogine, her brothers: Arthur Colucci, Edward Colucci, Paul Colucci, and Benedict Colucci, and her sister: Florence Burden.

Jo is survived by her children: her son Peter Rogine and his wife Maria Almazan of Brevard North Carolina, her son Joseph Rogine of Berkeley Township, her son Christopher Rogine and his wife Sarah Rogine of Brevard North Carolina, and her grandchildren: her granddaughter Camille Rogine and her husband Yaeir Heber of San Francisco California, and her granddaughter Olivia Rogine and her partner Martin Landsman of Denver Colorado.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
