Helen Dietz, 93 of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Twp., NJ entered into eternal rest on January 25, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Helen was born on January 23, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Kanuck and grew up in Brooklyn, New York.
Helen met her husband Nick at a dance and they were married October 15, 1949. She was a loving wife for 57 years to Nick and they enjoyed their life together. They resided in Elmhurst, New York, then to Bergenfield, New Jersey, where they raised their two daughters from 1963 to 1989. They relocated to Berkeley Twp, New Jersey.
Helen worked at the Florence Shop in Bergenfield and Freeman Products in Englewood, NJ. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making many sweaters for her granddaughters and great grandchildren.
Helen was a member of Sew-n-Sew in Lacey Township, Polish Club of Whiting, the Silver Ridge Park North Women's Club and First Aid.
Helen is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Anna, her loving husband Nick (2006), brothers Michael and John, sisters, Annie and Mary.
Surviving are her children, Deborah Webber (Thomas) of Manahawkin, Andrea Stull of Berkeley Twp.; granddaughters Melissa Webber and Ashley Quilty (Sean) and her great grandchildren Kendall Billie, and Hayden Quilty.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, February 1, 2023 10:00am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. Burial to follow at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
