Helen M. Merchant, 64, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Born in Lakewood, NJ, she was a lifelong resident of Ocean County.

Helen was owner of Fast Tailoring in Brick, NJ for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Zaida Merchant.

Helen is survived by her two children Lamore Merchant and his wife Lindsey of Bridgewater, NJ and Katrina Mesler and her husband Adam of Beachwood, NJ, her longtime companion John Maravelias, two brothers Frank and Norman “Eddie” Merchant, two sisters Carol Miles and Joanne Berardesco, six grandchildren Carleigh Merchant, Ryan Siramarco, Joseph Merchant, Kaylee Mesler, Alexis Smith, Liliana Merchant, two step children Elene Zaczkiewicz and her husband Mark, Steve Maravelias and his wife Heidi and three step grandchildren Leonidas Zaczkiewicz, Adonis Zaczkiewicz and Yanni Maravelias.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
